That's RIGHT! Last night, Nathan lost his "first tooth ever" as he kept telling people. He was BEYOND excited. He wasn't the only person that was excited - I was! I'm not a tooth person, but when your tooth is sitting perpendicular to the others - it's time to pull the freakin' thing out of your mouth.
Yeah - that last one is a doozie. HA!!! Anyway - it was big news! Tracy said that the tooth fairy leaves Dawson a $2 bill at her house. We didn't have any of those, of coarse. I was really worried that Nathan would think that it's the same everywhere and demand a $2 bill. (Yeah right - demand.)
I asked Justin how much he wanted to leave him and we agreed on 2. Then he decided it was a bigger deal than 2 - so we left $3. I'm positive I only got $1 when I was little. Inflation is unkind. ;)
Oh - one last thing. Nathan couldn't wait to put his tooth under his pillow. However, I had a horrible experience with this growing up and almost had a panic attack at his very thought.
Once I put my tooth under my pillow and before I went to bed I checked to see if it was still there. Well, I knocked it off the bed. I FA-REEEEKED out! My mom was sure the tooth fairy would leave me money nonetheless. But I was sure that my chance of a new one dollar bill was over. It was a huge event - or at least in my memory it was.
Natey told me he couldn't wait to put the tooth under his pillow. I said "Oh! Well all parents got a memo that said 'if you have a brother or sister in your room, you have to put all teeth in a special place - NOT under your pillow, so that nobody gets disturbed'." He took it for gold and told the story over and over.
GO MOM! =o)

The tooth fairy was busy in Mad-town last night...she stopped by our house and left Shayla $2 for her 6th tooth lost!
I told my kiddo that one day he will lose his baby teeth. He "fa-reeeked" out. I haven't told him about the Tooth Fairy yet.
Awesome!! Nice tooth fairy to make time to get to everyone's house!!
Wow....inflation is right....I think I got a quarter!
Not sure why but for some odd reason we put our tooth in a glass of water in the window sill in the kitchen for the tooth fairy.
Congrats Nathan!! We used to put our "tooth" in a glass of water and then the change would be in their in the morning. Of coarse, that was a long time ago.

Nathan was BEYOND excited when he called to tell Dawson. TOO CUTE!!! I could tell Dawson was excited for his BFF.
Milestones...a MUST SHARE with the ones we love.
our tooth fairy seems to be a bit forgetful. she usually only brings $1, unless she forgets to stop in on a big night, then she's a bit more generous with $2.
he looks adorable!
Congrats Natey! Have fun spending your money.

That's so great! However, I don't have the heart to tell Gabriel - I don't know if he could handle hearing about one more kid losing a tooth when he has yet to lose one himself! He did have a loose one a couple of months ago, but that was just because he knocked it loose on Ariel's head (yeah, it's like that around here!) but then it tightened up again. Oh well, I keep assuring him that it is bound to happen sooner or later!
P.S. Don't pass the $2 news on to my kids, I'm planning on trying to get away with a couple of quarters! Are we cheap?!?!
Hunter lost his first tooth on Sunday also....it is the same tooth too! He only got $2.75 though. Shhh, don't tell Hunter that. :)
Way to go Natey! It is a big deal!
I need to talk to this tooth fairy! I feel ripped off - I think I only got silver coins when my teeth fell out!!
Ha ha! Good one Momma tooth fairy.
Lookin good Natey.
