Me: Nathan, it's time to pick up your toys.
Nathan: I don't want to.
Me: You were told that you'd have to pick up the toys if you chose to get them out.
Nathan: (Not said snotty - just a thought) When I get big I don't think you'll be my parents.
Me: Who do you think will?
Nathan: Probably Grandma and Papa.
......long pause......
Nathan: You and dad will probably be my cousins.

HA! I love it!! I'm with Aisha, at least he wants to keep you in the family!
That's hilarious!
Just had this conversation with Olivia. Only hers was said very snottily and with a severe attitude.
Mumbled under the blankets before a mandated nap:
"I wish you weren't even my mom."
Deep breathe, "who would you choose for a mom instead of me?"
Rolling of eyes, "dad"
