The parade

"Mommy, when is the parade going to start?"

There was a chicken giving out candy. Of course the kids were all about that. Who wouldn't be?

Ahhhhh, what they'd been waiting for.........

They were groovin' to the music of the bands.

Even Caymen got her groove on. =)

Are you as surprised as we were to see Santa and an Elf at the parade - and on two wheels? (If only you could see my face right now.)

The kids didn't love the sirens. I'm not sure anyone loves the sirens when they're 15 feet away from you. (Just so you know, I have no idea how much 15 feet is. Thank you.)

If you hold up a sign promoting our local radio station, they'll bring you a pop. That's right. Claire got Coke and Nathan got Diet Coke. My kids don't drink pop, so Claire asked me for some milk. Really? And pass up this opportunity to get all jazzed up on caffeine?
Nathan opened his Diet Coke and had 2 drinks of it. He LOVES Diet Coke. He tells me that all the time. I bet he's never had more than a cup full in his entire life. However, he loves it.

Moving on.........

Here is the candy that Nathan and Claire got at the parade. Crazy huh? When you only have one parade in your town each year, they make up for it in candy. I myself would rather have more parades and buy my kids a piƱata.

Oh yeah, the Trojan mascot was there. I find him as creepy as the Burger King dude. Yikes!

Dawson accidentally stepped on my sunglasses and broke them. I had a hard time parting with them. I loved those shades.....but now, it feels as if something is missing...... ;)
