That's RIGHT! Last night, Nathan lost his "first tooth ever" as he kept telling people. He was BEYOND excited. He wasn't the only person that was excited - I was! I'm not a tooth person, but when your tooth is sitting perpendicular to the others - it's time to pull the freakin' thing out of your mouth.
Yeah - that last one is a doozie. HA!!! Anyway - it was big news! Tracy said that the tooth fairy leaves Dawson a $2 bill at her house. We didn't have any of those, of coarse. I was really worried that Nathan would think that it's the same everywhere and demand a $2 bill. (Yeah right - demand.)
I asked Justin how much he wanted to leave him and we agreed on 2. Then he decided it was a bigger deal than 2 - so we left $3. I'm positive I only got $1 when I was little. Inflation is unkind. ;)
Oh - one last thing. Nathan couldn't wait to put his tooth under his pillow. However, I had a horrible experience with this growing up and almost had a panic attack at his very thought.
Once I put my tooth under my pillow and before I went to bed I checked to see if it was still there. Well, I knocked it off the bed. I FA-REEEEKED out! My mom was sure the tooth fairy would leave me money nonetheless. But I was sure that my chance of a new one dollar bill was over. It was a huge event - or at least in my memory it was.
Natey told me he couldn't wait to put the tooth under his pillow. I said "Oh! Well all parents got a memo that said 'if you have a brother or sister in your room, you have to put all teeth in a special place - NOT under your pillow, so that nobody gets disturbed'." He took it for gold and told the story over and over.
GO MOM! =o)
