Somethin's not right

I'm not sure what it is, but I know, for me, it's not right.

My left big toe has been numb for about a month and a half now. The feeling is.....strange. I can feel it, but it feels like it's been shot with Novocaine. Sometimes my right big toe feels like it too, but I'm mostly annoyed by my left. If something or someone brushes up against it, it hurts.

Strange.

I've been having huge problems with headaches again. I'm also having a very strange sensation in my head. My head feels......fuzzy. I don't really know how to describe it. It's not on my face, but inside my head. Sometimes I can feel it near my throat and sometimes I can feel it behind my nose. I know this sounds strange, but that's because it is. When I get warm, the feeling is worse.

All I know for sure is that it's not my 'normal'.

Yesterday I was doing one of my clients hair who is a massage therapist. I told her all about my thing. She pressed on my neck and I could feel it way deep in my head. It freaked us both out, so I called the neurologist today. I can't see the doctor I saw after I had Jack, so I'll see a PA on Monday morning.

My guess is that I have a pinched nerve somewhere.

Anyway, I just thought you'd probably want to know. You're all good like that.

Have a good weekend!

Awwww Natey

Here are the pictures I ordered from Black Studio's. I think they're so adorable.

Oh my goodness! Are you kidding me? I think they turned out so cute!!!

Before I left, ElizaBeth told me that she was going to give me a surprise, but I couldn't keep it. I looked at her like 'what the heck?'. She said "I'm going to do something with the pictures, but you can't keep it. You have to agree to that." I had no idea what she was going to do, but I agreed. All I knew is that it had something to do with advertising for the studio.

Today when she brought me my pictures (and how fast what that!!!), she brought some business cards for me to take to work. It's entirely of my kids. What fun!!!

She told me she was going to use the kids in something else, but I don't remember what. I was too excited about the business cards.

They do a special 'on location' photo shoot during the summer that I think we'll take advantage of. We don't have a family picture that includes Jack, so I think it's time we have one.

YEA BLACK'S!!!

See Nathan at Black Studio's

On Monday, I took Nathan for his birthday pictures. I don't have them back yet, but they put this on their blog. I super duper love the overall picture (him sitting with his hands on his knees). That was my favorite of the whole shoot.

Nathan is a bit different than other boys that I know of. I can't just buy him a shirt and know that he'll wear it. No. I knew better than to just buy him a birthday outfit and trust that it would be ok for pictures.

We were in Sioux Falls on Saturday and I took Nathan into the store with me to find an outfit. He kept on saying "This is taking too long. How much longer?" and so on. I wanted him to wear this really cute brown shirt with lighter brown and tan stripes and he WAS NOT going to have it. There was a cute orange and white striped shirt that I liked that he refused to even consider.

COME ON!

Finally we agreed on this outfit. It's totally chosen by him. He loves having the pockets. Almost all the pictures were with Nathan's hands in his pockets. sigh

If I buy him a shirt and he doesn't like it - that's it - he's just not wearing it. I'll say 'I'll just give it to Dawson then'. It used to work. Not anymore.

Whatever. The outfit is fine. However, Justin's closet is full of light blue, dark blue, gray and Cowboy's wear. Hmmm........

The apple never does fall far from the tree.

Happy Anniversary - to me!

Today is my anniversary. It was only 8 years ago that Justin and I stood up in front of our friends and family and said that we'd love each other forever.

8.

Eight.

Ocho.

Sometimes I think 8 is a long time. Sometimes I think 8 is nothing. My grandparents just celebrated 65 years. Compared to 65, 8's a drop in the bucket.

Last Friday, Justin sent me flowers. They were my favorite. Tulips! I love getting flowers. It makes me feel very special. He's not a flower guy, so getting them is always a big deal.
He also arranged a babysitter to take care of the kids so he and I could go out for supper tonight. We went to the mexican restaurant in town. The food was really good.

The babysitter brought over her guitar hero. I've never played it nor have I seen it being played. It was hard - even on easy. Natey had a good time playing.
That's the look of intent right there. After playing, I had a new found admiration for my boyfriend.....who seems to be very serious in this picture. I think he's thinking "Yes, Kerrie is my girlfriend and I'm trying to keep it from my wife. If you put this on CNN - Nicole's bound to find out. So don't. Please." At least he is in Kerrie Land.

To Justin:

Thank you, hon, for taking me out for supper and for the flowers.

Love you!

The Drama Queen

DO NOT ask me who this post is about. Don't. She's about to drive me up the wall. She's..........something else!

She just walked in here and said "I had to come in. I was getting beat by my brudder. Natey. He's my brudder."

As if I didn't know.

.....AND I could see him from my chair - outside playing football.

Not beating anyone.

Spell it with me folks:

D R A M A!

Oops! I did it again!

Do you remember the conversation I had with "Joe" while thinking I was talking to Amanda? If not, read my post about it.

As you can guess from the title of my post - I did it again. I know.

Amanda has a great sense of humor. When we went to see my boyfriend in Omaha, she kept me laughing.

Maybe you don't read the comments on my blog. But when I said that I got the latest George Michael CD, Amanda said she thought it was best that she and I just stick to Keith concerts.

Fast forward to Monday. I was on my way to Sioux Falls and decided to give Keith a break (in my CD player). This doesn't happen very often, believe me. As I sang about having "the faith, the faith, the faith'ah" I thought of Amanda. So - I sent her a text message. It said "i'm listening to george michael on my way to sf. do you want me to call you so you can listen too? :) ker"

I was really quite proud of myself. I thought it was sure to crack her up. Just knowing Amanda's personality I knew I'd get a great response back.

I didn't get exactly what I was looking for.

Here's what I got.

"Who is this? "Wheeler""

Holy shit. You've got to be kidding me.

That's not even the best part. AGAIN I thought that Amanda was messing with me. Seriously. I did.

I called Justin and asked him to look at my old "Joe" post. I told him that I was afraid I'd sent "Joe" another text message but in my mind hoped that Amanda was one step ahead of me.

No such luck.

Joe kept asking me over and over who I was.

The Conversation:

Me: I got the wrong # again, joe. sorry.
"Joe": Ha ok..Do i know you "Wheeler"
Me: No, but i did accidentally text you when i was at a concert in march. i wanted you to stand up and wave, remember?
"Joe": Ha ha ok.. "Wheeler"

Seriously. Who makes that mistake twice? (rhetorical)

He didn't win :(

Last night my boyfriend didn't win Entertainer of the year. I blame Heidi. She's unamerican.

He did, however, sing a great song and had a great performance. I still love him and he's MY Entertainer of the year.

Here is a little long that I enjoyed by Surgarland. I just might have to buy their CD after listening to this song. It's very catchy. Very catchy indeed.

Bike update²

I know - you've all been chomping at the bit to see my bike. CharKay, you CRACKED ME UP when you called it a trike. That - was a classic. Loved it!
Ok, so here is a picture of the bike.

After the disaster of the test drive, I knew this bike hadta go!

I looked at my old bike and saw that it was a 26" bike. I didn't mind that bike, but I always felt it was too big for me. I mean, I couldn't touch the ground when I was on the seat which I didn't think was safe.

I called the retailer back to see if we could exchange it and they said yes. We ended up getting our money back and buying a bike somewhere else.

Say hello to my new bike!

Justin put it together for me today and it's WONDERFUL. I'm not so in love with the gold color, but I'd rather have the gold than
Barbie with streamers and a 'ching ching' bell purple.

I'm proud to say - dilemma solved. On to bigger things......

.....and when I say bigger things, I mean the water heater. (I'm totally giving the water heater the finger.)

To the child that made me a mother

Happy Birthday!
I fell in love with you in early August of 2001. I longed to see your face and to count your toes. I couldn't wait for people to be able to tell that I was pregnant so that I could talk about you. I proudly carried you to full term. Then, on May 10, 2002 at 7:40AM - you were born.
It was love at first sight.
All I wanted to do was hold you.
Smell you.
Love you.
You were the person that made me a mother.
You are so special for so many different reasons:
You're kind.
You're loving.
You are a protector of your brother and sister.
You're a helper to your Mom and Dad.
You are a peace keeper.
You follow the rules.
You have beautiful brown eyes with beautiful blond hair.
You have an infectious giggle.
You try to do what's right.
When you love something, you love it completely.
I could go on and on.
Today, as we celebrate 6 beautiful years of your life, I will be fulfilled with the person you are. I will celebrate the person I know you'll become.
I - will celebrate -You.
I love you.
Happy Birthday.

Vote for my boyfriend

PLEASE CLICK HERE and vote for my boyfriend....unless one of the other people happen to be your favorite. Here's why....

Take a look at this video. It was shot moments after Keith played the last stop of his tour in Lexington, KY. I love that he's so thankful. Not all artists are.

Dear Mother Nature

Dear Mother Nature,
Here in South Dakota - we're over the snow. OVER IT! Last week the weather man said we'd have a rain/snow mix and you brought us 12 inches of shitty delightful snow. All at once, we are yelling WHEN! (When is what you say when you've had enough.)

Once again the weather man is saying less than an inch of accumulation. If we get more than this, I'm going to have to consider divorcing South Dakota. I know that sounds harsh, but you've left me no choice. Ok, so if not a divorce then quite possibly a legal separation.

For those of you living in this wet, squishy, state - try to have a good weekend.
