Today is Justin's birthday. I bought a cake for him last night and was going to give it to him today. However, Nathan saw it and that was the end of that. Natey likes to call Justin to tell him when to come home for supper. I told Nathan that the cake was a surprise for Justin's birthday tomorrow and that we would have to keep it a surprise for one more day. Nathan's 5, people. I knew it wasn't going to work. When I asked him to call Justin for supper he said "I'm just going to say 'Daddy, we have a surprise for you but you can't have it until tomorrow. Do you like carrot cake?'" I told him that wouldn't work and that Daddy would know the surprise. Natey was sure that he wouldn't tell him the secret and didn't understand that Justin would probably figure it out if he asked him if he liked carrot cake. Finally I told Nathan that we'd just give Justin his cake a little early. It was an obvious weight off his shoulders.
